Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 5, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Lamplight Labs LLC ("we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with the Crumb mobile app (the "App"). The short version: Crumb keeps your cooking data on your device, and the only outside services we use are for in-app purchases and (for free users) advertising.

The short version. Your pantry, favorites, and shopping lists are stored locally on your device — we don't collect or see them. We don't require an account. If you buy a subscription or lifetime access, Apple and our purchase provider process that transaction. If you use the free version, ads are served by Google AdMob, which may use advertising identifiers.

1. Information we collect

Information stored on your device

The ingredients you enter, your pantry selections, your favorite recipes, and your shopping lists are stored locally on your device. This information stays on your device and is not transmitted to us. You can erase it at any time by clearing the app's data or deleting the App.

Purchase information

Crumb offers optional premium access (monthly, annual, or lifetime). When you make a purchase, the transaction is processed by Apple through your App Store account — we never receive your payment card details. We use a third-party purchase-management provider (RevenueCat) to verify your subscription or purchase status and unlock premium features. For this purpose, a randomly generated, anonymous app user identifier and your purchase status may be processed. This identifier is not your name, email, or Apple ID.

Advertising information (free version)

If you use the free version of Crumb, we display ads through Google AdMob. To serve ads, Google and its partners may collect and process information such as a device advertising identifier, approximate or coarse location derived from IP address, device type and settings, and ad interaction data. On iOS, we will request your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before any tracking that requires it; if you decline, you will see non-personalized ads. Premium users do not see ads.

Information you send us directly

If you email us for support, we receive the information you choose to include (such as your email address and the contents of your message) so we can respond.

2. How we use information

3. Third-party services

We rely on a small number of trusted providers. Their handling of data is governed by their own privacy policies:

4. Your choices

5. Data retention

Data stored on your device remains until you remove it. Purchase records are retained by Apple and our purchase provider as needed to manage your entitlements and meet legal and accounting obligations.

6. Children's privacy

Crumb is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

7. International users

Crumb is operated from the United States. If you use the App from outside the United States, information involved in providing the App (such as purchase and advertising data handled by our providers) may be processed in the United States and other countries.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above, and significant changes will be reflected on this page.
